This manual of diagnostic tests for aquatic animals is divided into 3 parts (general provisions, recommendations applicable to specific diseases and list of OIE reference laboratories and collaborating centre for diseases of fish, molluscs and crustaceans) and aimed at providing a uniform approach to the diagnosis of the diseases listed in the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Aquatic Animal Health Code and of other diseases that may be of importance to trade. 18 chapters deal with fish diseases (bacterial and viral), whereas 10 chapters focus on mollusc diseases. The diseases of crustaceans are given emphasis in 9 chapters.
