Announcement of 2015 OIE Photo Competition winners

Paris, 18 May 2015 – The OIE has brought to an end the growing anticipation from the entrants of its inaugural Photo Competition by announcing the five winners from each of the OIE global regions.

Dubbed “Animal Health, beyond the cliché”, the competition sought to demystify the association all too often made that animal health only refers to veterinary clinics or animal surgery. The competition was restricted to OIE network members, and sought to show the day-to-day prevention, surveillance, diagnosis and control activities carried out by animal health players in the field to safeguard animal health worldwide. Thus the winners of the OIE PHOTO COMPETITION 2015 would therefore be the photographers who best illustrated these activities as well as the links between animal health and public health, both artistically and in terms of representing the professional practice concerned.

There was an overwhelming response and all regions were tightly contested. After serious deliberation, under strict anonymous conditions, the jury unanimously selected the following as winners:

The OIE congratulates the winners, deeply thanks the hundreds of participants and looks forward to receiving numerous proposals next year!
