This conference is organised by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The conference will in particular:

• present an overview of the current situation regarding antimicrobial use in animals and antimicrobial resistance;

• inform on initiatives taken by the OIE and other international organisations to promote prudent and responsible use of antimicrobial agents in animals at a national, regional and international level;

• promote good governance practices including national legislation and regulatory frameworks for import, registration, distribution and use of quality veterinary drugs worldwide, by using the OIE PVS Pathway in evaluating and strengthening national Veterinary Services and their compliance with OIE standards.

• encourage international cooperation to help all Member Countries to effectively implement measures for responsible and prudent use of antimicrobial agents in animals;

• foster and strengthen cooperation with Veterinary Statutory Bodies and the veterinary profession for the respect of OIE standards on prudent use in animals worldwide;

• explore the opportunities to improve data collection in animal antimicrobial usage and antimicrobial resistance;

• present research on new molecules and scientific findings on the alternatives that could be used in animal production replacing antimicrobial agents.

The conference will be held at the “Maison de la Chimie”, located in 28 rue Saint Dominique, Paris (France), from 13 to 15 March 2013.

Presentation will be made using one of the three official languages of the OIE (English, French, Spanish). Simultaneous interpretation in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese will be provided throughout the conference.

B) Contributions above Euros 12,000 - Entitlements include:

C) Contributions above Euros 17,000 - Entitlements include:

• Right to insert leaflets in the Conference bag,
• Four complimentary registrations which include the conference documentation, coffee breaks and four invitations to the OIE welcome reception,

D) Customised sponsorship

A lternatively, sponsors who wish to have their names associated to the event or the distribution of items during the conference are welcome to contact the organising committee. We will be happy to discuss the most suitable option for you.

Rules for Sponsorship Opportunities

Please feel free to send your sponsorship proposal with the enclosed application form available to download on this Web page, to the conference secretariat (email: [email protected] with copy to [email protected] ) with the following information:

• A summary of the technical and financial activities carried out for the last 3 years and the international field of action of your company.
• The acceptance of the OIE sponsorship policy:
  1. No publicity is allowed at the main entrance of the auditorium or common areas.
  2. The name and logo of your company can be included in the acknowledgement of the abstract book (inside page) and could be displayed on the screen during the breaks.
  3. A maximum of 8 leaflets can be inserted in the Conference bag. If we have more than 8 requests, the Committee will choose which leaflet can be inserted in the Conference bag (one of the most important criteria is the amount of the contribution) and which leaflet can be put on the table near the registration area.
  4. The leaflets should be sent to the OIE in electronic version for the approval of the organising Committee.
  5. Conference bags can be sponsored; however the name and logo of the company can only be printed in the interior of the bag.

Note: The abstract book will be delivered to all the participants of the conference.

Your sponsorship proposal will be analysed by the Conference Committee and the Head of the OIE administrative, logistics and publications department will give you the response to your proposal.
