Incheon Metropolitan City
Incheon is a major port city in Korea and is home to Incheon International Airport. Incheon is located in northwestern Korea, adjacent to the West Sea, which is dotted with numerous islands and islets that provide many marine tourist attractions. People have inhabited the area since the new stone age, and today 2.76 million people live there, making it Korea's third most populous city after Seoul and Busan .
The city, which is proud to have the finest night view and be the most ecofriendly city in Korea, was designated Korea's first free economic zone in 2003. Since then, large local companies and global enterprises have been increasingly investing in the city.
As an international city, Incheon has held numerous conferences and events, such as the G20 Finance Ministers meeting in February 2010. It will also be the location of the 17th Asian Games in September 2014.
