31/08/2010 China (People's Rep. of) notifies two FMD outbreaks of serotype O of which one is closed
In a 15th follow-up report sent to the OIE, China (People's Rep. of) notifies two foot and mouth disease outbreaks of serotype O of which one is closed. The ongoing outbreak is located in a village of the Qinghai region. All affected cattle have been destroyed.

30/08/2010 Mongolia notifies one FMD outbreak of serotype O
In an immediate notification report sent to the OIE, Mongolia notifies one foot and mouth disease outbreak of serotype O occurred in a farm located in the East of the country. Affected sheep and goats have been placed under quarantine.

26/08/2010 Russia reports that there have been no new FMD outbreaks of serotype O
In a final report sent to the OIE, Russia reports that there have been no new foot and mouth disease outbreaks of serotype O since August 20, 2010.Quarantine measures and movement control inside the country have been implemented. No more reports will be submitted.
