Epidemiological comments Surveillance around the outbreak since completion of the operation (including culling, disinfection and clean-up) and surveillance in the rest of the States has shown no evidence of presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza. Hence, India declares itself free from highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 on 15 June 2013.
