Summary description In the north of the country, a large outbreak of rabies is occuring. The major number of cases were in golden jackals.

  • introduction of unvaccinated jackals from adjacent countries.
Epidemiological comments From October 2017, 44 jackals, 2 cats, 5 dogs, 11 cattle and one sheep were found positive to the disease in the Amakim region and near Wadi Ara.
