Simulation exercise: Emergency Animal Disease in Australia

Dr Mark Schipp, Chief Veterinary Officer, Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, Canberra, Australia, has informed the OIE that an exercise to test the initial actions in response to an emergency animal disease (EAD) in a saleyard will be conducted by the Central West Local Land Services, New South Wales in Forbes, Australia on 23 March 2017.

‘Exercise Daroobalgie’ will be a discussion based exercise involving government and industry with the aim of testing the EAD Response Plan for the Central West Livestock Exchange.
