Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 89th Annual General Session of the World Assembly of National Delegates was held in a hybrid format from Monday 23 to Thursday 26 May 2022. While keynote speakers gathered at the event venue in Paris, Members’ delegations and partners attended remotely.  

During four days, participants from all over the world joined the discussions of the first hybrid General Session. National Delegates have adopted new Resolutions and made commitments to engage in multisectoral emergency management systems.

Outcomes

Nearly 500 participants from 151 countries and territories

joined the event either in person or virtually – including representatives of Members as well as scientists and observers from partner organisations
