Simulation exercise: African swine fever, classical swine fever and foot and mouth disease in Lithuania

Dr Jonas Milius, Director of the State Food and Veterinary Service (SFVS), Ministry of Agriculture, Vilnius, Lithuania, informed the OIE that a table-top simulation exercise on African swine fever, classical swine fever and foot and mouth disease is taking place on 30 January 2013 in Vilnius at the State Food and Veterinary Service.

This exercise includes theoretical and practical training of the personnel of SFVS with the aim of applying emergency measures in compliance with the contingency plans for the above mentioned diseases.
