Simulation exercise: Avian influenza in Nicaragua

Dr Roberto Danglia Lira, Director of Animal Health of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Production and Forestry, Nicaragua, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on avian influenza will take place in his country from 3 to 7 April 2006. Main emphasis of the exercise will be laid on the Emergency Plan for disease control.

Official veterinarians from the Ministry and other State institutions and private professionals from the poultry sector will participate in this exercise.
