Simulation exercise: Avian influenza in Panama

Dr Manuel A Gonzalez C., National Manager, Animal Health Division, Ministry of Agricultural Development, Panama, has informed the OIE that a national simulation exercise on avian influenza will take place in his country, in Veraguas Province, from 29 October to 1 November 2002. This exercice will complement the simulation of the National Poultry Health Programme for the Prevention, the Control and/or the Eradication of Exotic Diseases.

This exercise will be carried out in collaboration with the National Association of Panamanian poultry farmers.
