Simulation exercise: Avian Influenza in Peru-3

Dr Janios Miguel Quevedo Valle, Director General of Animal Health, National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA), Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation of Peru, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on avian influenza will take place from 20 to 21 June 2017, in the city of Lima.

The objective of this simulation exercise is to strengthen management capacities of the adequate and efficient response of an emergency of avian influenza occurrence with a view to reducing the health and economic impacts that could arise from the virus introduction in Peru.

This simulation exercise is directed to professionals of the Official Veterinary Service.
