Simulation exercise: Classical swine fever in Brazil-2

Dr Guilherme Henrique Figueiredo Marques, Director of Department of Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, informed the OIE that a table-top and field simulation exercise on classical swine fever will take place in the municipality of Rio Verde, State of Goiás, from 17 to 21 October 2016.

The objective of the exercise is to practice and improve the response capability of the Veterinary Services, by reviewing theoretical and practical aspects of diagnostic tests, investigation, biosafety, containment and eradication of classical swine fever during an exercise allowing to test warning capability and organisation of an early response as well as the management and organisation of the Official Veterinary Services.
