Simulation exercise: Classical swine fever in Latvia-2

Dr Mareks Samohvalovs, Chief Veterinary Officer & Director General of the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia, informed the OIE that an emergency simulation exercise on classical swine fever is taking place from 6 to 9 November 2007 in Daugavpils district.

This simulation includes theoretical and practical training of the personnel from the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia in collaboration with other institutions (fire fighting and rescue service, police, etc).

Representatives from Veterinary Services of Belorussia, Russia and Lithuania are invited to participate.
