Simulation exercise: Foot and mouth disease in Bolivia-2

Dr Javier Ernesto Suárez Hurtado, National Head for Animal Health, National Service for Animal and Plant Health and Food Safety (SENASAG), Ministry of Rural Development and Lands of Bolivia, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on foot and mouth disease will take place in the town of Villamontes, Department of Tarija, from 27 November to 1 December 2017.

This simulation exercise will be performed with the support of the National Veterinary Epidemiology Department of the National Animal Health Unit.

This simulation exercise is directed to departmental epidemiologists and field veterinarians with the objective of reinforcing the skills of field technicians when facing an emergency situation that may arise.
