Simulation exercise: Foot and mouth disease in Chile

Dr Claudio Ternicier González, Head of the Division of Animal Protection of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Production (SAG), Ministry of Agriculture, Chile, informed the OIE that a field simulation exercise on foot and mouth disease is planned in the city of Melipilla (Metropolitan Region). The exercise will take place from 17 to 21 August 2009 in order to strengthen the technical expertise of the official veterinary services.
