Simulation exercise: Foot and mouth disease in Germany-2

Dr B. Ollenschläger, from the Ministry of Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture, Germany, has informed the OIE that a simulation exercise of foot and mouth disease took place in Lower-Saxony from 20 October to 14 November 2003.

This exercise was carried out by a “mobile control centre” in the barracks of Wangerland, Hohenkorchen, in the emergency centres of Friesland and Wittmund regions and in the city of Wilhelmshaven.
