Simulation exercise: Foot and mouth disease in Turkey

10 to 14 May 2010

Dr Nihat Pakdil, Deputy Undersecretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Turkey, informed the OIE that a real time simulation exercise on foot and mouth disease (FMD) will be carried out in Lüleburgaz district, Kirklareli province from 10 to 14 May 2010.

The aim of this exercise is to test the FMD Contingency Plan and train the veterinary staff in Thrace.
