Simulation exercise: Highly pathogenic avian influenza in France

3 and 4 November 2005

Dr Monique Eloit, Deputy Director General, General Directorate for Food (DGAL), Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rural Affairs, France, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) will be conducted in her country from 3 to 4 November 2005.

This exercise will concern the region of Brittany and its aim will be to test the Departmental Contingency Plans and the National Plan for the control of the disease.
