7-11 May 2018

Dr. Mbargou Lo, Director of the Veterinary Services of the Ministry of Livestock and Animal Production of Senegal, informed the OIE that a joint simulation exercise on highly pathogenic avian influenza in avifauna, backyards, poultry farms and poultry markets will be conducted from 7 to 11 May 2018 with FAO support on the border between Senegal (Kidira) and Mali (Diboli).

The objective of this simulation exercise is to test the recently updated Emergency Response Plan against highly pathogenic avian influenza in the Sub-regional approach to control the disease, which is a transboundary zoonosis.
