Simulation exercise: Highly pathogenic avian influenza in Togo

Dr Batassé Komla Batawui, Director of Livestock and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Togo, has informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on highly pathogenic avian influenza is organised in Kara city from 4 to 8 May 2010.

The purpose of this exercise, organised with the participation of technical and financial stakeholders is to test the strategic Plan for the prevention and control of avian influenza launched in 2006. This exercise will also contribute to strengthen the operational capability of the Plan.
