Simulation exercise: Lumpy skin disease in Australia

16 to 20 April 2007

Dr Gardner Murray, Chief Veterinary Officer, Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise of lumpy skin disease in cattle, called “Sartorial Goose”, is taking place in Mt Gambier, South Australia from 16 to 20 April 2007.

Its purpose is to train staff of the Department of Primary Industries and Resources of South Australia (PIRSA) in emergency response preparedness.
