Simulation exercise: Peste des Petits Ruminants in Serbia

Dr Emina Milakara, Acting Director of the Veterinary Directorate, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia, informed the OIE that a national simulation exercise on Peste des Petits Ruminants will take place in Serbia on 26 November 2020, with the support of the EuFMD.

The exercise aims to evaluate the Contingency plan on dangerous infective diseases and the national preparedness and rapid response capacities of veterinary services during animal health emergencies.

The exercise will gather key parties responsible to manage the response to transboundary animal diseases: Veterinary Administration including central and regional level Official veterinarians, National Crisis Center, Fast reaction teams and two regional institutes representatives (Kraljevo and Nis). The exercise will gather no more than 5 people (including facilitators) during simultaneously conduction on three places (Belgrade-Kraljevo-Nis) and 10 additional online players.
