Simulation exercise: Rift Valley fever in the United States of America-2

Dr John Clifford, Deputy Administrator, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the United States Department of Agriculture informed the OIE that table-top simulation exercises on Rift Valley fever will be conducted between Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands during 20-21 May and 25-26 May 2010.

The purpose of these exercises is to provide Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands with the opportunity to evaluate the implementation of their contingency plans and rapid response protocols during a disease outbreak.
