Epidemiological comments |
Sentinel chickens were placed on the H5N2 infected native chicken farm reported in the follow-up report No. 2 on 4 January 2013. The farm was depopulated previously by the local disease control centre (LDCC). In order to restock the chickens in the same premises, the farmer applied to LDCC for sentinel chickens test. The results showed one chicken with positive reaction to H5N2 subtype virus and the virus was defined as low pathogenic by national laboratory. Cleaning and disinfection were implemented in the farm which was emptied for 21 days. |
