Affected population Two cattle per-acutely died on the farm: necropsy of the first dead animal was not carried out. Few days after, another animal from the same herd died; during the necropsy samples were taken for bacteriological examination and Bacillus anthracis was isolated.

Epidemiological comments The affected herd consisted of 40 cattle. Two cattle per-acutely died on the farm. The other animals showed no clinical signs. In response to the outbreak, vaccination of all susceptible animals on the location will be carried out.
