Epidemiological comments The USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) completed a comprehensive epidemiological investigation of this event. All commercial poultry premises within a 10km control area completed multiple rounds of avian influenza testing and all tests were negative for avian influenza virus. Cleaning & Disinfection (C&D) on the index premises is complete. Post C&D environmental and restocking samples were negative for avian influenza virus. The index premises was released from quarantine on 14 August 2015. This LPAI H7N3 event is resolved.
