Affected population This is a farm with laying hens. From 21 November the animal keeper noticed an increased mortality, sick hens and hens with symptoms from the nervous system.

Epidemiological comments A protection zone (3 km) and a surveillance zone (10 km) have been put in place around the infected farm and the euthanizing of animals has started. All other restrictions and necessary measures according to Directive 2005/94/EG are applied, including a prohibition of transportation of live birds, hatching eggs and not heat-treated poultry products in this area.
