Affected population On 5 May 2018, LPAI H5 was detected in ducks collected in connection with the Danish surveillance programme for avian influenza. All birds at the infected holding were killed and destroyed on 7 May 2018. The cleaning and desinfection was approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration on May 11th.
