Affected population In the framework of general passive surveillance a necropsy was performed on two dead cattle. Tissue samples were taken and testing of a spleen samples revealed positive to Babesia spp. Later, sequencing was performed and the result was positive to Babesia bovis. On the same cattle Theileria orientalis was confirmed.
