Epidemiological comments The last outbreak of Bluetongue virus serotype 1 (BTV1) was confirmed the 9th January 2017. The last outbreak of Bluetongue virus serotype 4 (BTV4) was confirmed in November 2013, therefore, it is considered to be a reoccurrence of the disease.
