Epidemiological comments The outbreak can now be considered resolved. Devon The stallion has been listed and will be under permanent breeding restrictions. Dorset - One infected stallion has been returned to its place of origin outside the UK to another EU Member State and the other two infected stallions were castrated. 6 weeks have passed since the castration of the other two stallions, allowing enough time for any shedding of Equine Arteritis virus to cease.
