Epidemiological comments In the State of Tamaulipas, all pigs with positive serology and their contacts have been slaughtered, sampling around the outbreak was completed and no infected animals or cases of the disease have been detected. In the state of Guerrero, in the municipality of Teloloapan, all of the pigs on the affected farms were slaughtered and the carcasses, by-products and animal waste were disposed of by burial. Sampling around the outbreak was completed and no infected animals or cases of the disease have been detected. In the state of Nayarit, epidemiological sampling around the outbreak continues. It was recommended that producers in the area immediately notify the official veterinary staff of the presence of characteristic signs of Aujeszky's disease and avoid the movement of pigs in the area and the entry of herds representing a risk.
