Epidemiological comments Update March 27, 2020: RHDV2 confirmed in rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) from three non-commercial premises in New Mexico. Clinical signs include loss of appetite, minor nasal discharge, lethargy, seizures, and sudden death. All confirmed positive premises were quarantined. New Mexico State Animal Health Officials and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) have begun an epidemiological investigation into these outbreaks. Currently, there are no known links to outbreak events in Washington or New York. New York--Cleaning and disinfection of the affected veterinary clinic was completed on 21 Mar 2020.
