Epidemiological comments 6 Apr 2020 Update--Enhanced surveillance confirmed LPAI H7N3 of North American wild bird origin in one additional commercial meat-type turkey premises in Union County, North Carolina on 2 Apr 2020. No clinical signs were observed and depopulation also occurred on 2 Apr 2020. Disposal activities on the one affected South Carolina premises were completed on 19 Mar 2020. Disposal efforts are ongoing at ten of the affected North Carolina premises and pending on the one premises most recently identified. The USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and Animal Health Officials in affected states continue enhanced surveillance and testing as well as a comprehensive epidemiological investigation.
