Epidemiology
Source of the outbreak(s) or origin of infection
  • Unknown or inconclusive
Epidemiological comments Regarding the first two outbreaks (in Csengele and Üllés): These two holdings were in the surveillance zone. The surveillance zone has been established due to the outbreaks in Bács-Kiskun county. Sampling was not based on suspicion. Before the slaughtering the animals had to be sampled in the holding and had to wait for the laboratory test results. All of the animals of the two holdings have been killed after the positive PCR result in the holding.
