The affected premises has been quarantined and depopulation is pending. There have also been two new wild rabbit detections of RHDV2 in a Black-tailed jackrabbit (Lepus californicus) from El Paso County and Cottontail rabbits (Sylvilagus sp) from Pueblo County. Colorado State Animal Health Officials and USDA, APHIS continue an epidemiological investigation into the current outbreaks. Arizona (AZ)--RHDV2 confirmed in domestic rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) on five additional non-commercial premises. Total positive premises in Arizona is 25. All affected premises have been quarantined and depopulation has been completed on 11 of the affected premises. Disposal, cleaning and disinfection activities are ongoing. There have also been four new wild rabbit detections of RHDV2 in a Mountain cottontail rabbit (Sylvilagus nutalli) from Yavapai County, Antelope jackrabbits (Lepus alleni) and Desert cottontail rabbits (Sylvilagus audubonii) from Pima County and a Black-tailed jackrabbit (Lepus californicus) from Coconino County. Arizona State Animal Health Officials and the USDA, APHIS continue an epidemiological investigation into the current outbreaks. Texas (TX)--There have been six new wild rabbit detections of RHDV2 in Black-tailed jackrabbits (Lepus californicus) from Hale and Presidio Counties, a Desert cottontail rabbit (Sylvilagus audubonii) from Gaines County, Cottontail rabbits (Sylvilagus sp) from Jeff Davis County and an unidentified wild rabbit from Ward County. Texas State Animal Health Officials and the USDA, APHIS continue an epidemiological investigation into the current outbreaks. New Mexico (NM)--RHDV2 confirmed in domestic rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) from two additional non-commercial premises. Total positive premises in New Mexico is 33. All affected premises have been quarantined and depopulation has been completed on 23 of the affected premises. Disposal activities are ongoing. Six of the affected premises have completed cleaning and disinfection activities and continue a 90-day fallow period.
