Epidemiological comments All the four clusters were epidemiologically-linked due to a common source of imported shrimp post-larvae. The four infected premises were put under official quarantine. One of the cluster (Peterborough site) is a contained research facility. The other 3 sites are land-based closed-contained recirculation commercial production operations with no effluent discharge. All the animals on these three production premises have been destroyed. There are no known IHHNV wild susceptible species in natural environment in Canada.
