Affected population On the 7th of December, a 3km protection zone and a 10 km surveillance zone have been established. In the 3 km zone, there are no other premises with poultry. The subtype H5N8 was confirmed by the National Reference Laboratory (Wageningen Bioveterinary Research Lelystad). All the susceptible animals on the infected premise have been killed.
