Affected population Farm with fattened ducks, in preparation for force-feeding, is made up of three separate buildings. One of the buildings is probably epidemiologically linked to the first outbreak, more than 15 km away. Surveillance has revealed contamination by the H5N8 virus, clade 2.3.4.4.b, confirmed by the National Reference Laboratory. All the animals in the three buildings were euthanised. Farms that have received birds are being preventively depopulated.
