Epidemiological comments The outbreak occurred in South Africa's FMD Protection Zone. Coordinates modified to protect confidentiality as required by South African Legislation. This virus is not related to the January 2019 FMD outbreak virus. Serotype incorrectly reported as SAT 1 in the immediate notification, which was amended and republished by the OIE on 19/09/19.
