As of the outbreak in Tsuno-Town 1 in this report (Case 12);
On 1 December 2020, local veterinary service in Miyazaki Pref. received notification from a broiler farm and confirmed Influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits.
On 2 December, LHSC conformed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR.
On 2 December, stamping-out was completed.
On 2 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed.
On 4 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing.
As of the outbreak in Mitoyo-City 12 in this report (Case 13);
On 1 December 2020, local veterinary service in Miyazaki Pref. received notification from a laying hen farm and confirmed Influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits.
On 2 December, LHSC conformed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR.
On 4 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing and stamping-out was completed.
On 12 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed.
