Epidemiological comments A protection zone (3 km) and a surveillance zone (10 km) have been put in place around the infected farm and the euthanizing of animals has started. All other restrictions and necessary measures according to Directive 2005/94/EG are applied, including a prohibition of transportation of live birds, hatching eggs and not heat-treated poultry products in this area. All poultry on the infected holding are euthanised and the disinfection was completed 19 November. The 3 km protection zone was lifted 10 December.
