Epidemiological comments |
With the exception of one movements of live animals to a fully enclosed, bio-secure facility, which took place prior to the start of the investigation there have been no movements of live animals from this facility. The site produces animals for human consumption only, the animals leave the site as raw product, on ice
UPDATE 18/12/2020:
At present the disease is sufficiently stable, but culling and disinfection will not be fully completed until January 2021.
The site is fully bio-secure.
In the meantime a thorough epidemiological investigation is ongoing to determine the source of this outbreak.
No further Follow up reports will be send until the culling and disinfection is final.
